Cubi – New Mini PC from MSI

cubi-boxesDesktop PC’s are lo longer restricted to a corner of the room, the spare room or the study. There are many ways to get your PC to integrate into your home media systems in a prominent place in the main living space. The Mini PC will link up to your main TV and wont take up much space. In the beginning the mini PC wouldn’t be very powerful, able to achieve basic tasks but not much more. Now they are full multimedia machines capable of every task your desktop PC could handle including the ability to pump out fantastic ultra HD pictures.

Today we look at the new Cubi mini PC from MSI. Due for global release by the end of March 2015 the Cubi offers some of the best specifications on any mini PC, rivaling many desktop machines. Not only does the Cubi offer the best specifications to date but it is also the smallest mini PC to date as well, measuring only 4.5″ x 4.4″ x 1.4″. The Cubi is wall mountable with VESA standards so even if you have the smallest of space around your TV you can still find room for the Cubi.

These processors consume only around 15W of power, 30% less than the previous generation of mobile processors. Then we have Intel’s HD integrated graphics which are capable of Ultra HD resolutions. Connect to your HDTV to play videos, check out your photos or just browse the internet on a big screen.

Intel V-Pro technology offers a host of security features as well as the ability to remotely control your system including powering on and off from a distance. Even better if your Cubi is in a hidden location.

Finally the Cubi from MSI comes with the ability to run two monitors via its HDMI out and DisplayPort out connections, giving you the ability to be productive in the office environment or in the home you can be browsing on one screen while watching you favorite shows on the other.

Prices for the MSI Cubi have yet to be announced.
