Titanfall Xbox One/360 Controls

Titanfall box xbox oneTitanfall one of the biggest releases for the Xbox One since its launch is nearly upon us. It has been released as an open Beta for all Xbox One users and as such has been available to play for millions of Xbox customers. Great news for all of all as you get to play a selection of game modes from the full came over a few maps, this will get you ready for the full game when its released on March 14th in the UK, Titanfall will also be released on the Xbox 360 and the PC.

There are two type of characters to control in Titanfall, the first is your starting type which is a pilot. Pilots are nimble troops which can perform double jumping actions and running along the walls in order to maneuver across the terrain. They are fitted with combat weaponry and and anti-Titan weapons but are unable to stand heavy fire themselves. The second type are your Titans, Titans are massive mechanical bots that can be controlled by AI or by your Pilots. These heavy duty bots are equipped with massive and destructive weapons as well as shielding to protect against incoming attacks. They are not as nimble as the pilots that control and they cant jump or maneuver as easily but they can give a beat down and take a fair amount of punishment. Once a titan has been destroyed it takes time for another one to be ready for your Pilot to use.

Controls are similar for both but do have various differences. The Xbox One / Xbox 360 controls for both types are shown below.

Vortex shield - This is the Titan defense mechanism. To use the Vortex shield hold down the Left Bumper while controlling the titan and while you are being attacked from the front. The Vortex shield will collect enemy bullets and rockets for a short time. Releasing the vortex shield will fire these weapons back at the enemy. The Vortex shield will only last for a short period of time however so be very accurate when you use it. Correct use can change the tide of battle in your favour by not only defending yourself but gaining extra ammo for yourself and draining the enemies ammo and making them reload while you fire back.
