Xbox One release date annouced
The Xbox One consoles release date has finally been annouced by microsoft. The worldwide release date will be 22nd Novemeber in all 13 of the terrotories that are getting a 2013 release. This is a week before Sony releases the Playstation 4 in all of those markets except for the North American market where the Playstation 4 will be the first consoles to hit the shelves. Pre orders for release dates are all sold out for both consoles such is the demand for these new pieces of gaming hardware.
This isnt the only annoucement to come out of Microsoft for the Xbox One however. The other is great news for those looking to get the console. And I'm not talking about the previously announced free game either. I'm taking about the hardware boost that the Xbox One has been given prior to launch. Last month it was revealed that the Xbox One's GPU was boosted from 800Mhz to 853Mhz. This week the same has been confirmed to the CPU. This latest boost pumps the CPU cores from 1.6Ghz to 1.75Ghz.
Its getting close to the time when the specs of the consoles mean very little and real world performance is put under the spotlight. It seems the basic hardware specifications may still favour the PS4 but the effects of optimized games and apps and the cloud processing power are not yet tested out in the open. The reality as was the case last time is that the consoles will probably have very little between them. Some games will look better on one and others will be vice versa. Bring on November
First, they will hit an important milestone as they began full production of the Xbox One console recently. The culmination of many years of listening to us, fans, developing innovative technology, and partnering with the best game and entertainment partners in the industry has brought us to this point. There is still a lot more work to do, but the teams are making excellent progress and are focused on launch.
Speaking of launch, there're now in a position to share that Xbox One will be available on Nov. 22, 2013 in all 13 of their initial launch markets Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA. Many more markets will follow in 2014.
