Manufacturer loyalty

This is just a quick question really to find out what the general feel is around certain brands of hardware. My question is when it comes to hardware and gadgets in the home do you tend to stick with the same brand / manufacturer or do you decide on the actual product you like regardless of who makes it. There are of course advantages to having the same brand, they tend to work well together connecting them up usually will me much easier and they also sport a certain style which will look good all together in the home. The downside of course is that the best model for each gadget or piece of tech is normally from a variety of manufacturers depending on the item. The best TV for you might not be made by the people that make the best A/V reciever for example. Do you get the best of both of get the same brand?

My view is that I have a preference, I have Samsung equipment mainly. I'm not of the opinion that they make the best of everything but I like to have the same brand in the home. Its probably a bit wierd but I guess thats the purpose of the Question.

For me its all about the brand with the best specs for whatever it is i want, however to a degree i tend to sway towards anything SONY due to me having no issues with hardly any Sony equipment i've ever owned (only issue i ever had was my FAT 1st gen ps3 which had the faulty thermo gel which outlasted any other 1st gen Ps3's with the same fault and breaking 5 years in, maybe even longer).

I would generally say my opinion is that Sony make good quality products and usually tend to have the best specs, however i have swayed to other brands for different things, for example i switched to LG for my Phone due to it having the best specs. since sony do not make certain parts for my new PC build i tend to stick to Samsung and corsair brands for PC tech. If i was to buy a PC it would always be DELL.
