Kuratas is the worlds first giant boarding robot. It was being demostated in Japan and was allowed in public locations. The robot can be controled from either a pilot inside the machine or via an iphone app with a 3G connection, now bear in mind the this particular robot is armed with twin gattling guns, does anyone else think that being able to control this thing with a phone is a bit risky.

I'd imagine that it would need to be uber secure from hackers and viruses for it to work without any hazard or problems in public, what i don't get is if this robot was to be a law enforcer, most countries its not considered good practice to gun down petty theives and what not, however in a war situation this could be the new way war is won or lost. You have to hand it to the Japanese for being so inventive with their technology, i think its a cool thing but only for a demonstration of what can be achieved by humans, science and technology.

It is really so amazing robo, and is beneficial for the mankind for serving purposes, but I think it would also be so risky if the robot is armed with guns even a pilot can control it. However, if it is controlled with 3G connection, risk for the public would become so serious. It can also be highjacked and can be used for dangerous purposes.
