The Radeon X1950 offers the highest graphics performance available from ATI at current print time. Based on the same core as the previous X1900 set of graphics cards the Radeon X1950's increase in performance comes from its memory. This new graphics card from ATI has moved from GDDR3 memory modules to GDDR4 memory which is said to use less power per clock cycle and can be clocked at higher speeds. This gives the X1950 the ability to have memory clocked at 1Ghz DDR (2Ghz effective)
