    • Since the release of the original Intellimouse Explorer, a lot has changed. The power of the optical eye has improved greatly as well as new features such as the tilt wheel which allows you to scroll left and right as well as the traditional up and down scrolling of the standard wheels.

    Apart from the technological improvements in what was already there the Platinum version is also wireless and uses a radio receiver to pick up your mouse movements. The eye works in exactly the same way but the data is sent via radio wave instead of through a wire. This does mean that you have to use batteries for your mouse but the life of the batteries are very long around 6 Months use. The advantages of not having another tangly wire on your desktop are great.
