Digimate L1715+ 17" TFT Monitor

You may of seen this TFT monitor on various computer magazines or web adverts as this is often called the best value for money monitor on the market. The Digimate L1715+ is the new brother of that screen. the plus is because this monitor has an even faster response time than the previous models. 12ms response is perfect for displaying fast action games or watching DVD's at home.

Manufacturing TFT has become cheaper because of the volume that is no being produced. Because of this you can now get TFT monitors at a great price.  Like most of the other entry level TFT screens the Digimate L1715+ comes a standard 15-D-sub (VGA) connector. This helps with an easy upgrade as you don't need to have a graphics card that has a digital DVI output. You can swap this TFT screen straight in for you old CRT screen.

TFT monitors are renowned for there space saving on your desktop. They are incredibly thin because they don't need a cathode tube like standard monitors or TV's. This gives you versatility and a bit more style to your desktop. The Digimate L1715+ can be wall mounted. The L1715+ also comes with built in speakers to give you even more desk space to play with and no need to buy new speakers. You can easily plug the speakers into your sound card with the cable provided.

Not convinced that TFT is for you yet? Well I will add one more point to you. LCD / TFT screen fill the entire size of the monitor. When it says 17" it means 17" viewable unlike CRT screens which you can have a second viewable measurement which can be up to 2 inches smaller. Notice about LCD displays

LCD screens are made up of thousands of tiny pixels each of these pixels contains three sub pixels of red green and blue. Giving your TFT screen millions of dots in total. behind each one is a transistor. When one of these transistors fails its stays as a permanent light dark or coloured dot on your screen. Because of the nature of LCD screens it is near impossible to have a screen without a few of these failures.

This is why LCD monitor manufacturers have a tolerance level for this. For the tolerance level of Micro Direct Monitors visit here
