Used with Epson DuraBright Inks you get smudge proof waterproof and fade resistant prints on any media you choose. This is a top of the line printer that will take digital photography prints to a new level. However it aimed at the photo enthusiast, the type of photographer that likes to play with the photo's digitally touching them up before printing, and as such you will not find any digital memory card readers for direct printing from your camera. But like I said aimed at the high end market this will not prove a problem for its intended audience.

The Epson Stylus R800 has 8 separate cartridges these are, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Photo Black, Matte Black, Red, Blue and a Gloss optimizer cartridge. Separate black inks give even black and white photos greater depth. The Gloss Optimiser gives your photos the look and feel of a lab produced photograph. Put together you have the ability to have photos printed at home as good as those you send to get developed.
