Jargon Explanation
Kb Kilobit - The small b represents bit not byte. See Kilobit
KB Kilobyte - The large B represents Byte not bit. see Kilobyte
Kbps Kilobits per Second - A measure of Throughput, also Mbps and Gbps.
Kilobit 1 Thousand bits - In data storage terms the exact figure is 1024 bits 
Kilobyte 1 Thousand Bytes - In data storage terms it is referred as 1024 Bytes (2 to the 10th power).
