JBOD |
Just a Bunch Of Disks - JBOD is not quite
a RAID level but does combine all your disks into one volume. The
best way to look at JBOD is to say that its the opposite of
partitioning. Partitioning splits your disks up into several
volumes. JBOD puts together all your disks to make one big volume. |

Jumper |
A small connector used mainly on motherboards
- These connectors are used to control hardware settings. By
moving a jumpers position or adding or removing jumpers you can
change factory setting to suit that of your computer. e.g. a
jumper often controls whether your hard disk is set to master or
slave. |
|
Jumperless |
Normally relates to motherboards basically
means that there are no jumpers on the board, as you can
control the speeds of the CPU/memory etc directly from the BIOS. |
