DIN |

its self is an open metal cylinder with pins in a curved
formation. DIN connectors come in two sizes. The full size DIN
connector is 1/2 inch in diameter the smaller DIN connector is
5/16 inch in size. |

address - Domain names have to be registered so that no-one
has the same domain name as someone else. Domain names have to
have 2 parts the actual name and the suffix. The name could be
anything for example the domain name for this site is www.pantherproducts.co.uk.
the name is PantherProducts and the suffix is .co.uk. Other
suffix's include the most popular .com and .org and .net. Many
more suffix's are coming on to the scene now to cope with internet
growth. The www simply means that the site is part of the World
Wide Web. |

Windows from MS, there were various types of DOS like PC-DOS and
MS-DOS. DOS was not capable of multitasking it could only run 1
program at a time. DOS was also text based all commands were
typed, there was no GUI. |

DVD |
Digital Versatile Disc - DVD's are here to
replace the CD. In all essence they are the same but they are
multi-layered allowing for massive amounts of Data storage. This
enables entire movies to put onto a single disc in many different
languages. Plus allowing special features such as subtitles and
extra clips etc to be put on. There is also room for anything else
the producers wish to add to the disc. Interactive games on movies
discs are getting more popular. Games can also be put onto DVD, also
re-writable DVD is available. |
