The Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro is a wireless desktop solution containing both cordless keyboard and the MX1100 cordless laser mouse. The main driving force behind the design of the wave pro is comfort. The keyboard looks just as its name suggests but in more ways than one. The wave pattern in the layout of the keys is immediately obvious. This layout allows you to type with a natural hand position reducing stress on your wrists and fingers by not forcing them to twist. The wave layout is not the only wave feature however. The Keys themselves each form a concave "wave" design in order to cradle you fingers when you type. The keys are also at slightly varying heights to fit each finger for an even more natural feel when typing. The design is aimed at office users for prolonged typing, but the benefits are there for everyone who uses a keyboard on a regular basis.

Some of the previous ergonomic keyboard designs were also design for comfort but unlike this wave design they required skilled typists to re-learn there typing skills on the new keyboard. Logitech's wave pro keyboard brings a definite but subtle change to the layout which does not require any typists to re-learn their skill. The Keys are merely placed at the angle that prevents any undue twisting in your wrist, minimal hand movement is required to get quick and comfortable typing.

Logitech's cordless wave pro keyboard is also a full multimedia controller. With music internet and more options with one click access. Its comes with a average battery life of 3 years so no fiddling about changing batteries. A battery indicator will inform you when the batteries are finally running low. Also a comfort strip at the bottom of the keyboard to rest your wrist on are just some more of features of this award winning keyboard.

So what about the mouse? In a desktop combo package You would expect the mouse to be of similar quality to that of the keyboard. In this instance Logitech provides the MX1100 cordless laser mouse which does not disappoint and lives up to making this a great package. Only one downside to this mouse which seems to be a regular downside from many manufacturers. That is that the MX1100 laser mouse only fits right handed users. Its wonderful comfy design fights your right hand like a glove but lefty's will either have to use it with their right hand or find it almost unusable on their left.

Presuming then that you are a right handed user the MX1100 is a very comfortable mouse to use. The wheel and all the mouse buttons are fully customizable to all for complete control of your desktop. This version of the MX110o runs off a single re-chargeable battery which can be charged using the supplied USB cable. This differs from the retail version of the MX1100 sold separately which does not offer the re-chargeable feature. The great thing about the re-charging system in the desktop wave pro version of the MX1100 is that it can be used while charging. Simply plug in the USB cable and continue using the mouse while its charging up. This gives it an advantage of the re-chargeable mice that use a cradle system to recharge the batteries. The reverse of that would of course that cables are easily mislaid so looking after this cable will be essential.

The setup of both the keyboard and mouse could not be simpler. Just install the software on your PC. Switch both the peripherals on and remove the tags from the batteries and your ready to start. Customise the buttons and the mouse wheel as required via the installed software. Just a note on the USB cable, even when you have the USB cable plugged into the mouse the USB dongle is also required in order to for the mouse to function correctly. There is no feature on the keyboard for re-charging but Logitech's claim of three years life on a full battery should mean that isn't going to be an issue.
