Its that time again that football fans have been waiting for. That is of course the release of the new Pro Evolution Soccer game. Pro Evolution 6 has hit the shelves and has left them just as quickly. Most of you will have played at least one of the previous generations of Pro Evolution Soccer so lets take a look at what has changed with the latest release. Firstly as you would expect with a new release the games graphics have been improved. More detail on the players making them look even more like their real life counterparts. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is the first of the series to be released on the Xbox 360 and with its high definition gaming, PES 6 looks visually stunning. The in game play has had a few subtle tweaks from the previous generations. With each release of Pro Evolution Soccer, the ability to simply dribble through defences has become increasingly difficult. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is no different. trying to dribble from one end of the pitch to the other is nigh on impossible. Defenders will surround attacking players forcing them to pass or risk losing the ball. Shooting has had a bit of a tweak as well, shooting from the ground has been made more difficult with the body position of your playing having a big part to play on the accuracy of your shot. Trying to turn and shoot often results in the ball flying into the crowd. While having the ball under complete control allows your players to execute a precise finish (if your controller work is good enough). Heading has also been altered, if your like myself you may find heading to be somewhat difficult, especially directing headers downwards. In PES 6 heading seems to be that little bit easier. Its not easier to actually get the header in, in fact you may find defenders climbing all over you to clear there lines. Many of the gameplay tweaks are subtle and are fun to find out for yourself. You will find that once you adjust to the newer style of Pro Evolution Soccer 6, that the game adds more depth and requires that little bit more skill in order to master. So is there anything bad about Pro Evolution Soccer 6? Only a couple of things, The goalkeepers can be a little frustrating at times failing to stop a few daisy cutters etc, but on the whole are much better. The other is a recurring problem, and that is the licences for English teams, You can edit them yourself, but it is a niggle that can irritate you if you like perfection. Overall its pro evolution soccer game and its brilliant, trade in your previous version and get this immidiately.
