If you are reading about RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 then I can bet that you have been waiting for this title to come out for a long time. Rollercoaster Tycoon has made that all important transition from 2D to 3D technology. The result a game that looks and feels so much better than the previous 2 versions of Roller Coaster Tycoon. Everything is viewable and easily accessible with the camera angle controlled directly from your mouse. Zooming in and out with the mouse wheel and easy rotation round your park and rides lets you see exactly what's going on in your park.
If you had to pick out one feature of the game that has had the greatest effect then it has to be the ride camera. Yes you can now ride on the coasters you create as well as the static rides. This gives you a fantastic platform to help when designing your rides. What better way to see if your coaster is any good than to get on it and ride it. You will also be able to see the rest off your park as you fly round the bends and through the nail biting cork-screws.
There is more added than just that though. Gone are the cheesy music with each of the rides and in comes the ability to place your very own MP3's on the rides that you choose. MP3's are easily imported and this gives you the choice of virtually everything to do with you park. Either put your favourite music to the rides or create your own tunes and import them into the game.
Individuality of the guests is also a nice new touch. This time the guests don't all look the same apart from different coloured t-shirts. Plus you will see couples and family's going round together. If you watch a family closely you will notice that there age of the people (peeps on the game) matters when it comes to ride choice. Little ones will go for little rides, while its mainly the teenagers who will eventually pluck up the courage to go on your biggest coaster. Follow a set person round and after a while you will notice that the facial expressions of your guests changes depending on what mode they are in at the time. You can even see what they are like when they get on a ride as you follow them round. Take notice of this as your guests happiness is the key to your success.
