Unreal Championship 2 is a first Person shooter with a few twists to
interest the gamer. Firstly this is an FPS designed for the Xbox, a
console. The vast majority of first person shooters are PC based and it
shows with some awkwardness of controls taken away. This also leads onto
the second difference, Unreal Championship 2 has a third person aspect to
it. You can opt for a standard first person view, but the Third person
really work well on the console level. I suggest you play around with it
and see which one suits you the best.
The final twist in this game is the intriguing for a first person
shooter, the main element of combat is hand to hand fighting. You do
usually find that shooters have a melee weapon on hand such as the famous
crow bar in half life or the chainsaw in Doom but Unreal championship
focuses heavily on this melee style fighting. If you loved sneaking up on
someone and hacking them with a crowbar in your online battles then this
may appeal to you.

Players are immersed in a two-part, single-player tournament
experience that allows the player to take on the role of a variety
of uniquely-skilled characters, as well as the role of heroic
Anubis as he fights to reclaim his people's Rite of Ascension
tournament from the omnipotent Liandri Corporation
