Alias the game is here to complement the much loved TV series. You are Sydney Bristow an under cover agent for the CIA. A strange job for a student however your mission is to take down the leader of a criminal organisation called SD-6. Do do this you must use all of your skills, including your cunning your highly tuned martial arts techniques and a vast array of cool gadgets and weaponry. The game takes a third person view and follows an action/adventure genre a combination which is becoming increasingly popular in games today. You play the part of Sydney Bristow an undercover CIA agent and as such the game play has a certain amount of stealth in it, much the same way as the Metal Gear Solid games and more recently Splinter Cell. The general idea is not to be seen, and to aid you in this you can hide behind objects, creep slowly to avoid making a noise, pres yourself up tightly against walls and peer round corners without exposing yourself. Of course you can always take on the method of taking on all the enemies. This is possible if your fighting skills are good enough Your missions involve trying to acquire high tech gadgetry, you will need to do a range of spy type things to get around, from simple lock picking to taking DNA samples to get around the complex un-noticed by the security systems. Its nice to get into the shows of the TV character especially if you watch the TV series religiously. However its not the best stealth based game out there. As will all games come TV series there has had to be a line drawn between similarity with the TV series and actual gameplay. This doesn't always make it the best game in its genre. This may be one to rent for the casual gamer. A good buy if your a fan.
