Star Trek : Elite Force 2
Star Trek: Elite Force 2 (PC-CDROM) More than just a first person shooter Star Trek Elite Force 2 puts you in the position of having to work out what to do in certain Star-Trek style situations as well as just blasting the enemies. New weapons have been added from the last game including the Romulan disruptor, tetryon gatling gun, a full-featured tricorder, and several all-new weapons. Looks like the game has a better story line and gameplay with the added puzzle element put in there to add that extra something over some of the older style shoot'em up games. New Weapons Enhanced Tricorder - The Enhanced Tricorder allows you to see in the dark, see trails of gas and see weaknesses is walls or structures. Romulan Experimental Radiation Disrupter - Used to disperse large groups of enemies this weapon releases a large radiation burst. Romulan Disrupter - A small weapon that allows you to store its energy for a while and release in one burst. Bat'leth - The Klingon "sword of Honour". This is a melee weapon that can be used to slice enemies at close range. Enhanced Compression riffle - An upgrade to the old Compression riffle this weapon is used to fire rapid bursts of energy at a target. If used continuously it loses accuracy. Mystical Energy Staff - Located on a research mission, little is known about this weapon. Quantum Burst - This weapon fires a micro quantum torpedo at the target. It also comes with a guided mode to let you steer the destruction all the way to its target. Attrexian Arc Launcher - Capable of firing a stream of electrical energy as well as firing a gas canister which the gas contained can be electrified once released. Tetryon Gatling Gun - Can fire heavy high intensity blasts or small high velocity blasts which can bounce of walls. Does have a heavy recoil making hard to shoot accurately. (Click to Enlarge Screen shots) Of course they have included several multiplayer modes including Holomatch, Team Holomatch and Capture the flag. With the use of the Bat'leth melee weapon creeping up on your opponents will be great fun. Overall a new style of FPS game but with all the fun that blasting away the enemies brings. well worth a buy especially if you are a Star Trek fan as the game subtly brings a lot of Voyager and the Next generation. Also the game stated to be about twice the length as the original in single player mode which is always a nice bonus. System Requirements
