7.1 Speaker systems
The 7.1 speaker system may well provide the best cinematic experience you are likely to get in your home for some time. 7 satellite speakers involved in this setup use mixture of hardware and software to give you the surround experience. Because most if not all of the media you own will be encoded at best at 5.1 channels, this system uses the 5 channels and blends them to create the extra two speakers outputs. The result is that although there is no extra channels of different sound in channel 6 and 7, the speakers can still produce an effect that there is.
